LaneFirst Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile management, done for you.

Your Google profile is what people see first on Maps, and often the only thing they look at before they call. We set it up properly, keep it active every week and reply to every review, so you can run the jobs.

How Google picks the top 3 on Maps

Relevance How well your profile matches the search: categories, services and description.
Distance How far you are from the person searching. You can't change this one.
Prominence How well known you are: reviews, rating, photos, your website and mentions around the web.

What we set up in the first month

Most profiles we audit are missing the basics. These are the eight things we fix first, in order of how much they usually matter.

  • The right primary category. Your primary category tells Google what you are. We pick the most specific one that fits, such as "Gutter cleaning service" instead of "Contractor", and add the secondary categories you actually earn money from.
  • Every service, written out. Each service you sell gets its own entry with a short description, so you can show up for "gutter guards" and not only "gutters".
  • A description customers read. Up to 750 characters on who you are, what you do and where you go. Plain words, no keyword lists.
  • Service areas set up properly. If customers don't come to you, your address is hidden and the towns you serve are listed. If you have a showroom or shop, it stays visible.
  • Hours that are never wrong. Regular hours plus holiday hours, so Google never shows you as closed when you're open.
  • Real photos. Your logo, a cover photo, your team, your vehicles and finished jobs. Photos of real work do more than stock images ever will.
  • Attributes and links. Options like "online estimates" or "onsite services", plus your website and quote link, so people can act straight from Maps.
  • Phone numbers that match. If we add a tracking number to measure calls, your main number stays on the profile as an additional phone, so your details still match everywhere else.

What we do every week after that

Google rewards profiles that stay current. This is the part most owners never have time for.

  1. A new post every week

Recent jobs, seasonal tips and offers. An active profile looks open for business.

  2. New photos

We ask you for a few phone photos of recent work each month and add the best ones.

  3. A reply to every review

Good or bad, every review gets a short, human reply. More on that on our reviews page.

  4. Edits checked

Anyone can suggest changes to a Google profile, and Google sometimes updates details on its own. We check weekly and fix anything that's wrong.

What a weekly post looks like

Short, specific and about a real job. Posts like this give Google fresh details about what you do and where, and they give customers a reason to call.

We write them from the photos and job notes you send us, so they sound like you.

Example post

Monsoon season is three weeks out. This week we replaced the sagging gutters on a two-story home in Chandler with 6-inch seamless gutters and guards, so the next storm runs off instead of over. Want yours checked before the rain? We'll come out and look for free.

Four things that get profiles suspended

A suspended profile disappears from Maps overnight. These are the mistakes we see most often, and we never make them for you.

  • Keywords in your business name. "Desert Ridge Gutters" is fine. "Desert Ridge Gutters | Best Gutter Repair Mesa" breaks Google's guidelines and is a common reason for suspensions.
  • A virtual office or P.O. box as your address. Google wants a real location you work from. If customers don't visit you, hide the address and list service areas instead.
  • More than one profile for the same business. One business, one profile per real location. Duplicates confuse Google and split your reviews.
  • Buying or swapping reviews. Fake reviews and paid reviews break Google's rules and, in the US, the FTC's rules on consumer reviews. We never do it.

Google profile management is in every plan.

Questions

Can't I manage my Google Business Profile myself?

Yes, and the profile itself is free. What takes time is keeping it active: a post every week, new photos, a reply to every review and checking for unwanted edits. That's the part we take over. Your free audit lists the fixes you can make yourself today, whether or not you hire us.

Do you need access to my profile?

We ask you to add us as a manager. You stay the owner, so you keep full control and can remove us at any time.

I don't have a storefront. Can I still show up on Google Maps?

Yes. Most home service businesses are set up as service-area businesses: your address is hidden and you list the towns you serve, up to 20 of them. Google will ask you to verify the business, often with a short video.

How long until I move up on Maps?

Profile fixes often show up within weeks. Moving up on Google Maps usually builds over 2 to 3 months, which is why every plan has a 3-month minimum.

Will you add keywords to my business name?

No. Google's guidelines say your profile name has to match your real business name, and stuffing in keywords can get the profile suspended. We work on the things Google does reward: categories, services, reviews, photos and activity.

Which plan includes Google Business Profile management?

All three. Get Found ($299 a month), Get Chosen ($699) and Own Your Area ($1,199) all include setup, ongoing management, weekly posts and replies to every review.
